Jefrey Blancaver
Although a successful production supervisor now, Jefrey Blancaver holds onto his humble beginnings, recalling the challenges he faced to get to where he is today. His determined spirit was fueled as he grew up watching his parents work hard to take care of him and his siblings everyday. His mother would take to the streets and sell a variety of things from peanuts to barbecue, and even sampaguita.
Jefrey sought a better life, and he worked diligently as he pursued his goals. He spent some time working a variety of operation positions in the production industry, then eventually got promoted on multiple occasions, finally reaching the position he has now.
Jefrey Blancaver may have not finished school, but his grit and determined spirit took him places he never thought he could reach.
Rosalie Gutlay
A mother is typically the light of the home, but for Rosalie Gutlay, she was the light and so much more for her family. She stands as the hope in the dark for her three children even though she was once full of doubt on her own abilities to get past the trials that stood in her way.
When Rosalie’s husband had died, it had never occurred to her that her story would turn out so greatly. Although she stood alone as a parent, she prides herself in the fact that she was able to help her children finish school on her own. Through hard work and believing in herself, she was able to carry her family over the tallest hurdles, and through to the finish line.

There will always be moments of doubt that make us ask ourselves if we can really achieve greatness. But Jefrey and Rosalie stand as proof that Filipinos are capable of amazing things if we push ourselves to the goal and stay passionate.
